Innovative Solutions for Overcoming Supply Issues

The client is a leader in the production and development of metals including nickel and alloys.
The Problem / Requirement
The customer faced a combination of raw material and manufacturing issues, preventing them from sourcing a critical component for their melting process. This combined with them using a single source for the component meant that they had not flexibility to identify alternative solutions. Manufacturing a metal mould for refractory ceramics typically takes up to 8 weeks,
which would have caused significant delays in sourcing alternatives.
The Solution
Anderman & Company provided a short-term solution to address the supply
shortage by suggesting an alternative material. Working closely with our partners,
we identified alternative tooling materials that enabled a faster turnaround. As a
result, the customer received the essential parts within 8 weeks from drawing sign off, halfling the usual lead time.
The Approach
By working closely with the client in a consultative approach, we were able to
adopt and innovative, out of the box approach to solve the customers supply
issue. By looking beyond the conventional materials, we were able to identify
alternatives, which allowed us to expediate the manufacturing process, ensuring
the customer’s needs were met without compromising on quality.
The Result
The client was able to continue their alloy melting process with minimal disruption, ensuring they could meet their own customer obligations. By reducing the lead time for the critical component, we helped the customer maintain business continuity and project timelines, ultimately supporting their operational success.
Anderman & Company’s extensive network and collaborative partnerships were key in finding a quick and effective solution during a time of crisis. This experience reinforced the value of flexibility, innovation, and partnership in solving complex challenges and supporting our clients when they need it most.
